In Wichita, the WAP enhances the fraternity system by conducting fundraisers, awarding scholarships, participating in education and outreach and serving as a resource and support to the sorority houses at Wichita State University. Fundraisers include greenery sales, an evening at the local Melodrama and the annual Card Party. Proceeds raised from these events support scholarships to local young women who are headed to college. Through an application process, graduating high school seniors are encouraged to apply and further encouraged to learn more about sorority life on campus! Each year, $2,000 to $4,000 in scholarships are awarded at the Presidents Luncheon. Education and outreach activities generally are tailored to meet the needs of the local alumnae and collegiate chapters. Activities have included Presidents Roundtables, educational seminars and promotion of Recruitment.
